Obituary: Lt Col. Jagir Singh Dhillon (Retd.)

With profound sorrow, we share the news of the passing of Lt Col. Jagir Singh Dhillon (Retd.), who departed for his heavenly abode on 13th December 2025.

Lt Col. Dhillon was among the pioneering athletes who participated in the 1st National Shooting Championship Competitions held in Delhi in 1952. His dedication, sportsmanship, and remarkable contributions to Indian shooting have left an enduring mark on the sport’s history.

The National Rifle Association of India and the entire shooting community mourn his loss and extend heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
